HistoryCCFNOur BoardAnnual Reports

Clarion County Family Net (CCFN) was established as the county collaborative board in 1997. Since that time, CCFN has worked hard to improve the lives of county residents. CCFN has been the State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) partner for Clarion County since 2001. In 2002, CCFN achieved America's Promise national affiliation status. This led to Clarion County's Promise (CCP) being the lead agency for the board. CCP not only supports board activities, but it also implements programs to meet the needs of the county. In recent years, CCFN hosted the Northwest Healthy Schools Summit and has supplied the technical assistance for the formation of the Clarion County School Health Councils.

Since its formation, participation in CCFN has included county commissioners, school administrators, county and local child-serving organizations, community members, parents and youth. The board, with over 60 members, meets bi-monthly to discuss and develop programs to address the unmet needs of Clarion County.

CCFN meets every other month, the second Tuesday of the month now at the Primary Health Network building. Please call Clarion County's Promise for more information or to attend a meeting.

Research shows that if the Five Promises, as defined by America's Promise, are consistently fulfilled, they can significantly advance the health and well being of the next generation -- increasing the chances of youth becoming successful adults.
